Donors

 COCAP generates funds through the contribution of member organizations and from international donors. Currently, it has two international donors.

Misereor, Germany

Misereor, from Germany, is the major international donor for COCAP. Misereor, a German donor agency, committed in September 2008 to fund the costs of the COCAP secretariat up to EUR 95,000.00 (NRS 9,975,000.00) from September 2008 to August 2009 under the project Strengthening Networking and Advocacy Work for Sustainable Peace in Nepal. The main activities to be supported by Misereor are:

* Improving coordination and communication among members and enhancing their capacity for peace advocacy.
* Establishment of a peace resource centre.
* Publication of annual Peace and Human Rights Journal in Nepali, monitoring ad evaluation, training, conferences, discussion series both in regional and national secretariat.

KURVE Wustrow, Germany

KURVE Wustrow – Center for Training and Networking in Nonviolent Action is an independent agency granting funds through the Civil Peace Service Program financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The cooperation project with COCAP as executing agency is named “Promotion of Human Rights Networks”. Its general objective is to contribute to the peacebuilding process in Nepal by strengthening the capacity of COCAP staff, members and volunteers in non-violent conflict transformation and human rights.
