About Us

Objectives

Creative Society Nepal (CSN) is a non-government organization (NGO) established in January 7, 2003 adopting the values of the fundamental rights and responsibilities provided by the constitution of Nepal. CSN is organized by women activist working in the rural and urban Terai (plane land) areas of western Nepal. It is situated at Butwal Municipality; Ward no.-6, of Rupandehi District. This organization has been working in the field of awareness raising, right based approach (RBA), women issues and income generation for women empowerment mainly focusing to Rupandehi District including its two Municipalities and 69 Village Development Committees (VDCs). This organization was formed for the upliftment of women who are deprived from access of socio economic opportunities provided by the state. This organization has a general assembly, comprising 110 members, who elects an executive board of 7 members. The general assembly adopts the organization’s policy and decisions and the executive board implements the all of the decisions made by the general assembly. All the people who are supposed to be benefited from the organization’s activities are involved in planning, implementation , monitoring and evaluation of the program so that they feel ownership and make it sustainable. It has 4 paid staffs and 5 volunteers who support the organization for its daily activities. The organization has 26 periodical paid staffs who support in field work. Likewise this organization had nominated 4 advisors familiar in community development sector. Our Goals Creation of peace and equitable society through the establishment of good governance and empowerment of women is the chief mission of this organization. Our  Goals:
Creation of peace and equitable society through the establishment of good governance and empowerment of women is the chief mission of this organization. For that puspose , this organization aims to work for the benefit of  deprived and disable women  in the following sectors:

  • Awareness program like legal literacy and peace campaign.
  • Gender and human rights.
  • Reproductive health.
  • Good governance.
  • Legal support for deprived and disable  women.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Income generation.

Objectives:

  • To inform about women rights which is managed by the law of Nepal also it helps the poor women in case of their health, responsibility of law for all Nepalese people.
  • For development and expansion of legal literature, it studies in legal field; also it explores and investigates in     related field.
  • To inform about values and recognition granted by law as well as to organize legal training, seminar,     training workshop in schools, clubs and VDC for acknowledging their duty.
  • To uplift the legal consciousness for public, it manipulates legal literacy classes.
  • Human trafficking, women violence including the acts against women are still prevalent in country, so this organization ends the social discrimination raisisng the public awareness program.
  • It takes corruption as social offence and it organize awareness campaign to abolish corruption. It helps the    government and concerned authority to stop corruption.
  • The base of democracy is good governance. Through good governance it helps to establish welfare state.
  • The motive of this institution is to increase conscious and literate manpower by providing adult literacy class as well as child education.
  • To produce necessary skilled manpower. It co-ordinates district, region and village to develop self-depend women. Regarding their interest and necessity, it builds the capacity of women for income generating activities and it creates peace environment in society.
  • It takes help from INGOs and NGOs also it mobilizes local resource and means to uplift the life status of     people forming income generating projects.
  • It organizes mutual co-operation between different INGOs, NGOs, District Development Committee (DDC),Village Development Committees ( VDCs), Clubs, schools and collages to launch its programs.
  • It runs activities and trainings to abolish the social evils in society.
  • It manages the scientific trainings for farmers to increase agricultural production.
  • It uplift the society about STDs and other vulnerable diseases.
  • It keeps effective programs against women violence and human trafficking.
  • It organized according to necessity programs like training, workshop about various social issues.
  • To develop the human resources.

  • Ceasefire and negotiated settlement

3. Awareness program on human trafficking and HIV/AIDS in 5 VDCs with 55 youth groups with finincial  support of Women Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC)
4. Radio Broadcasting Program on women violence and gender descrimination with the finincial support of   World Vision International Nepal.
5. The activities under the financial support of Global Fund for Women are:
Awareness programs on legal literacy and peace campaign.

  • Income generation.

6. Funded by Ministry of Population and Environment, Nepal Government, Kathmandu, Nepal, for the  following activities:

  • Datas collection based on the demographic, socio-economic , educational stats, sanitation  and family background of the respondents in 5 VDC.
  • Orientation program based on environmental sanitation.

7. The activities with the financial support by Nationwide Scholarship Program (NSP), Kathmandu Nepal

  • Identification of vulnerable and socially excluded (PVSE) students with the help of Local government and  schools.
  • Distribute the scholarship

8. Capacity building training program funded by Butwal Municipality, Local Government, Rupandehi Nepal
