NepalMonitor.org organized a two day training on “Human Rights Monitoring Cycle and Security in the Field for HRDs” on 27 – 28 May, 2016, in Biratnagar. Human Rights Defenders from more than 17 districts and 8 Human Rights organizations participated in the training.

The training was inaugurated by COCAP Chairperson of the eastern region, Mr. Basanta Nepal. The training covered a wide range of topics related to Human Rights Monitoring Cycle and Security in the field for HRDs such as; relevant National and International laws, Risk Management, ICT Security, Human Rights Monitoring Cycle, and NHRC demonstration monitoring guidelines. Participants also had the opportunity to interact with Eastern Region NHRC director Mr. Koshraj Neupane, on various human rights issues of Nepal on the second day of the training.
